For the seminar, we invited 6 people to talk about mapping from different perspectives and traditions. Among them were 3 artists who work with mapping as a method in their art: Pierre Matte, Hilde Frantzen and Alessandro Marchi.

These were put together with 3 local professionals who use mapping and landscape as part of their job in various industries and businesses in the area: Pål Tjømøe, geologist and CEO of Magma geopark, Arild Aamodt, local historian and hiking enthusiast, who took us on a trip to look at old trails near Velferden, and Øyvind Standeren Pedersen from the mining company Norge Mining who talked about how they work to map huge mineral deposits in the Dalane region. The program was nuanced and very interesting, and there was an active dialogue among the participants throughout the event.
