Anna Carin Hedberg and Ebba Moi
Ebba Moi (b. 1971) is an artist in the collective Tenthaus and works mainly within socially engaged art as an artist and curator in various self-initiated projects and collaborations.
Anna Carin Hedberg (b. 1966) works with practice-based art education and research at the National Museum in Oslo in addition to her own art projects.
In September 2024, the artist duo Hedberg and Moi were on one of two residencies at Velferden as part of the WASTE / DEPOSIT programme.
A common denominator in Ebba Moi and Anna Carin Hedberg's artistic collaboration is change. Changes that occur in the landscape, language or material over time.Hedberg and Moi will use their residency at Velferden to investigate Sandbekk's sand deposit by looking at the mining waste as a resource in relation to the social and historical context of the site. They are interested in changes that affect the landscape, the geology and the people who live there today. The art project is based on circular thinking, where something that has lost its value can be transformed into a resource. The project is part of their artistic practice, which also involves the local population in the development of the art.
