Hans Edward Hammonds (b. 1983, NO)
Hans Edward Hammonds is a Norwegian and New Zealand artist, teacher and curator, with a Master of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts (University of Auckland) in New Zealand. Hammonds has an interdisciplinary practice, working with sculpture, installation and participatory/relational projects. His work is playful and explores ways of collaboration, interaction and interplay. Hammonds believes that these are relevant and important themes to work with in the current social and political climate.
In recent years, he has led relational art projects and research projects on participation and art production with children in schools, institutions and artist-run exhibition spaces. He has presented projects and installations at the National Museum, Høstutstillingen, Vestlandsutstillingen and Stavanger Art Museum, among others.
